Minister Resident, Mansfeld de Cardonnel Findlay, Esq. and Mr. James A. Caldwell, of Penn sylvania, have been recently elected members ol the Anglo-American Club of Dresden. Mr. Caldwell leaves Dresden in a short time for America, but will return to this city after a stay of a few days on the other side. *- We are pleased to hear that the Rev. F. Ward Denys who has been indisposed is well on the road to recovery. * C. Davies Gilbert, Esq., J. P., D. L., whose father- in-law, Mr. C. Massey Dawson, was chairman of the Anglo-American Club about thirty years ago, has returned to Dresden with his family for a short stay. Mr. Gilbert and his daughter intend to leave shortly for Mexico where they will spend the winter. *— Mrs. Potter-Frissell entertained several friends at her apartment on Niirnberger Strasse on Thursday evening last. The occasion was really a chafing- dish party, and the guests, received by the popular hostess and her daughter, Miss Frissell, enjoyed a very pleasant evening.
