External Characters. Its colour is dark yellowish-brown,' sometimes passing into dark yellowish-grey. It occurs corroded and vesicular, also amorphous. ^ Internally it is commonly dull, but the darker varieties fi re glimmering, and sometimes even glistening.^ The fracture is earthy, sometimes passing mto fine grained uneven.* The fragments are indeterminate angular, and blunt- «dgcd.
