X —The Council of the Society of Arts give Notice, that the Guarantee Deed lies for signature at the Society’s house, Adelplii, W.C. The Council have much pleasure in announcing that the Gua rantee has been already signed for sums amounting to £350,000, and they desire that the number of signatures should he still further increased, in order that the interest of the public in this great national undertaking may be more extensively shown. It. is rifled, one turn in its length, is four feet long, and weighs little over nOOlbs. I hereby certify that the Glass Mangle supplied to this esta blishment in March, 1857, by Mr. John Chedgeyhas been in con stant use since, and gives the greatest satisfaction. It imparts a beautiful gloss and finish to the linen, quite unattainable by the wood mangle; it is very cleanly in its operation, and easily turned.
